Our staff veterinarians provide general surgical services for routine, scheduled procedures, including:
- Spay (Ovariohysterectomy) — surgical removal of the female reproductive organs to prevent pregnancy and support lifelong health.
- Neuter (Orchiectomy) — surgical removal of a male pet’s testicles to prevent reproduction.
- Growth removal — surgical removal of suspicious lumps or masses that require further evaluation (histopathology or biopsy) or to improve the pet’s comfort.
- Amputation — surgical removal of a limb due to injury, pain, or disease.
- Cystotomy — surgical opening of the urinary bladder to remove stones, biopsy tissue, or address a urinary tract issue.
- Gastropexy — securing the stomach to the body wall to prevent rotation (volvulus) during gastric dilatation-volvulus (bloat). This procedure is generally recommended for large-breed and deep-chested dogs.
- Mammary mass removal/Mastectomy — removal of one or more mammary glands that may be cancerous or benign.
- Vulvoplasty (Episioplasty) — removal of excess skin around the vulva to resolve frequent infections, irritation, and discomfort.
Specialty/Advanced procedures
For more complex surgeries, including orthopedic and advanced soft tissue procedures, we partner with traveling board-certified veterinary surgeons. This allows your pet to receive specialty-level care in the comfort and familiarity of our hospital.

- Tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO)
- Extracapsular repair (cruciate ligament surgery)

To be approved for surgery, your pet must be examined by one of our veterinarians. This ensures they are healthy enough for anesthesia and meet the requirements for the procedure, and allows time to answer your questions and perform any pre-surgical testing.
